Best time to visit :

October to March. Although the city is expected to be reasonably pleasant owing to its topography, summer temperatures at times can be very extreme.

Best mode of transport :

Railways and roadways. Tatanagar Junction is an important station in this route and thus a halt for all trains that are passing through it. If you are traveling from a nearby town, you can also avail the regular bus service or take a private vehicle. Jharkhand State Road Transport Corporation buses ply regularly to Jamshedpur, Patna and Kolkata.

Sightseeing tips :

Make sure about opening and closing timings of parks and other tourist attractions. Tourists should always take care of flora and fauna when they visit the parks. Flowers or plants should not be damaged in any way.
